Water is everywhere, so that means that we need to take care of our oceans, lakes and rivers. Did you know that 884 million people lack acess to safe water supplies that means that approximately one in eight people don't have clean water, that's almost three times more than the united states population! Animals all around the world are living in these rivers, lakes and oceans, we need to keep our water clean. Forty percent of all fish species are at risk of extinction! Did you know that no aquatic animals have a neck! Also that fish have a vertical tail and mammals have a horizontal tail. There are soo many facts about aquatic animals, I mean aquatic invertebrates are approximately 97% of of the world's animal species, although we have no idea what their number is! Another interesting fact is that the giant squid was not captured on film intil 2004. Also jellyfishes, sea anemones and corals are related very closely, they may look different but they are related! Aquatic species are very interesting and very beautiful, but global extinction rates for freshwater species are four to six times higher than those for terrestrial or marine species. Our oceans are so beautiful and so are the animals in the them, although this is true, the risk of fish species extinction is forty percent.
